The 100 Acre IT City SEZ Lucknow project is being developed by HCL Group selected through a competitive bidding process envisages initial investment of approx. Rs 1500 crores.
The IT city will provide direct employment to 25,000 with indirect employment to approx. 50,000 people.
The IT city is based on Walk to Work concept: 60% of The IT city will be used for IT/ITeS activities and rest 40% reserved for Commercial, Residential, Health and Education etc.
The IT city will also have state of the art Skill Development Centre (SDC) churning out 5,000 students every year. The state government will provide grant-in-aid up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000 to every student of the state.
The IT City SEZ Lucknow would be eligible for all the benefits and incentives available under UP IT Policy 2012 along with benefits from SEZ scheme of the Government of India.
The development of IT City at Lucknow will considerably increase the IT Exports from the State and would result UP being one of the leading states of IT Exports.
