The Company was formed under the Company Act 1956 on 30.04.1977 in the name of Uptron Forbes Limited. On 18.09.1978, the name of the said company was changed to Uptron Powertronics Limited. The initial objectives of the company were to deal in electrical and electronic apparatus. Uptron Powertronics Limited used to do production work in the power plant area in Sahibabad Industrial Area (Ghaziabad). Over the time, work of that nature came to an end.

IT and ITES services were included in the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of Uptron Powertronics Limited. After that, the Company is working under the control of Department of I.T. and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Uptron Powertronics Limited has empanelled Companies as Stratups and Service Providers to execute the works of software, website, web based applications, data processing, scanning and digitization.
